About Lauren
I’ve been a nurse for the past nine years, working with families in postpartum, pediatrics, NICU, and now in my favorite role, as a lactation nurse.
My first job as a postpartum nurse opened my eyes to the realities of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is often difficult and full of trials, yet these challenges are rarely discussed in our society. This reality can wrongfully bring shame to those involved, which is why I believe having support during this time is crucial!
My greatest experience with lactation came when I had my first baby, Jack, in January 2023. After eight years of working with postpartum families and babies, it was my turn! I was so grateful for incredible support from my husband, family, and friends during that time. Breastfeeding firsthand was exhausting, fulfilling, painful, and humbling!
I was grateful for the lactation support and guidance I received during our first few months, and I believe my firsthand experience as a mom has helped me better serve my patients today.
I am a proud military spouse to my husband, Nick. We are familiar with the lack of support and resources that can prove to be huge barriers to adequate postpartum care. I hope to be a resource for families who serve. I want to help all families, including those in our armed forces, through my business wherever we live and beyond. Our next location. . .
